Ho Hum... Had a job opening the car door when I arrived so thought I'd try my new 6m Kahoona. By the time I was rigged there was only 12kts according to my wind meter. Suddenly more wind again... Got on the water but well powered one second nothing the next. Didn't get far when the emergency release released itself for no apparent reason, though now I see that whole mechanism is rubbish and broke losing a pin in the process (it was an old bar). Didn't have another non pulley bar with me and also didn't fancy the 9m in the gusts so gave up... Hopefully some more predictable westerly wind will come along soon.
